August 28, 2025: East Hartford, CT 06118 Wilbur Cross Governors (New Haven, CT) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host East Hartford Hornets (East Hartford, CT), 8-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Wilbur Cross advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Governors host Fairfield Prep (Fairfield, CT) to clash with the Jesuits in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. The Jesuits go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
With the loss, East Hartford moves to 0-1 on the year. The Hornets travel to Newington Co-op (Newington, CT) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 30. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
