Adams Central Patriots (Hastings, NE) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE), 3-2 in a non-league match.

The Patriots (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Ord (Ord, NE). The Chanticleers enter the non-league game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Ord was edged by Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE), 14-8, in a non-league game.
