Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA) fans exited the stadium satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their softball team run past the host Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA), 23-2 in a league match.

The Pirates (7-4) will now prepare for their match against Calhoun County (Edison, GA). The Cougars come into the 1A D-II Region 1 match with a 0-4 record.

In their next game, the Greenwave battle the Pelham Hornets (Pelham, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 1 game, on Thursday, September 4. Terrell County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
