Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Avondale Yellowjackets (Auburn Hills, MI) and the host Brandon Blackhawks (Ortonville, MI), observed Avondale's volleyball team hold off Brandon by a count of 3-2.

The Yellowjackets (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Northern (Pontiac, MI). The Phoenix enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
