In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Fayetteville Lions volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats.

The Lions (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Flatonia (Flatonia, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 4-12 record. In their last challenge, Flatonia lost by Smithville (Smithville, TX), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bobcats/Lady Cats face the Sacred Heart Indians (Hallettsville, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 29. Bloomington will attempt to advance on its 0-9 season record. The Indians go into the test with a 5-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Iola (Iola, TX).
