St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Sabers (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Centennial (Champaign, IL). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Centennial lost by Lincoln (Lincoln, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Maroons play the Yorkville Foxes (Yorkville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Champaign Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Foxes come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL).
