Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Jay Mustangs (San Antonio, TX) and the host Edinburg Bobcats (Edinburg, TX), observed Jay's volleyball team top Edinburg by a count of 2-0.

The Mustangs (13-6) will now prepare for their test against Randolph (Universal City, TX). The Ro-Hawks go into the non-league test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Randolph achieved victory over Eagle Pass (Eagle Pass, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Bobcats now own a 13-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to LEE for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 28. Edinburg will meet a Volunteers team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Medina Valley (Castroville, TX). The Volunteers record now stands at 7-5.
