August 28, 2025: Elida, NM 88116 Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Elida Tigers (Elida, NM) and the visiting Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM), observed Elida's volleyball team top Hondo Valley by a count of 3-0.
The Tigers (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against Grady (Grady, NM). The Bronchos go into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Grady achieved victory over Dora (Dora, NM), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Mexico Military Institute for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 2. Hondo Valley will encounter a Colts squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Colts record now stands at 3-1.
