Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX) and the host Wink Wildcats (Wink, TX), observed Ropes's volleyball team hold off Wink by a tally of 2-1.

The Eagles (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, Fort Stockton was edged by Midland (Midland, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenwood for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Wink will encounter a Rangers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Compass Academy (Odessa, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 14-4.
