The Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] Cougars held off the visiting Surrey Mustangs volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cougars now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] for a B - Region 5 test on Thursday, September 7.
The Mustangs (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Westhope/Newburg (Westhope, ND). The Sioux enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Westhope/Newburg held off St. John (St. John, ND), 3-0, in a non-league test.
