August 29, 2024: Gladwin, MI 48624 Gladwin Flying G's (Gladwin, MI) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers (Flint, MI), 44-16 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Gladwin advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Flying G's host Beaverton (Beaverton, MI) to play the Beavers in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Beavers go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Beaverton lost 19-18 in their recent non-league battle against Evart (Evart, MI)
The Cavaliers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Grand Blanc for a Saginaw Valley - South battle on Friday, September 6. Carman-Ainsworth will play a Bobcats team coming off a 28-26 non-league loss to Mona Shores (Norton Shores, MI). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-2.
