Texas High School Football - Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial thwarted by Veterans Memorial

Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines (Alamo, TX), 34-3 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Veterans Memorial advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Chargers host St. Joseph Academy (Brownsville, TX) to play the Bloodhounds in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. The Bloodhounds go into the battle with a record of 1-0. St. Joseph Academy won 34-6 in their recent non-league battle against Raymondville (Raymondville, TX)

The Wolverines now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to McAllen for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 43-10 non-league loss to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
