August 29, 2024: Pikeville, NC 27863 The Eastern Wayne Warriors football squad scored 20 points and limited the host C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons to 8 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Warriors now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host SouthWest Edgecombe for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Eastern Wayne will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 22-8 non-league win over Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, C.B. Aycock drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Golden falcons travel to North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC) to meet the Hawks in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 0-1. North Lenoir lost 44-6 in their recent non-league test against Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC)
