With the win, Tuscola advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to McDowell (Marion, NC) to play the Titans in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 2-0. McDowell won 36-22 in their recent non-league battle against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

The Eagles now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Hendersonville for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. East Henderson will play a Bearcats team coming off a 70-16 non-league loss to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 0-2.
