Texas High School Football - Madison can't hold off New Braunfels
August 29, 2024: New Braunfels, TX 78130 New Braunfels Unicorns (New Braunfels, TX) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Madison Mavericks (San Antonio, TX), 21-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, New Braunfels advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Unicorns host Canyon (New Braunfels, TX) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 5. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Mavericks now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Smithson Valley for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 12. Madison will encounter a Rangers team coming off a 36-28 non-league win over SA Roosevelt (San Antonio, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 1-0.
