The Mar Vista Mariners felled the visiting Valhalla Norsemen football team by a score of 42-22 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mariners play the Crawford Colts (San Diego, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Mar Vista will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Colts go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 43-7 non-league loss to La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, CA).
