August 29, 2024: San Tan Valley, AZ 85243 The Mica Mountain Thunderbolts football squad scored 24 points and limited the host Poston Butte Broncos to 14 in the Thunderbolts non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Thunderbolts now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Mesquite for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Mica Mountain will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 45-0 non-league loss to Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Poston Butte drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Broncos host Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ) to meet the Knights in a non-league test on Thursday, September 19. The Knights come into the test with a record of 1-0.
