North Carolina High School Football - West Charlotte tops Monroe
August 29, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28216 The West Charlotte Lions football squad scored 26 points and limited the visiting Monroe Redhawks to 6 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lions now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cox Mill for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. West Charlotte will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 14-8 non-league win over Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, Monroe drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Butler (Matthews, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 0-1. Butler lost 32-0 in their recent non-league test against Richmond (Rockingham, NC)
