Virginia High School Soccer - Grace Christian School toppled by New Covenant
August 29, 2024: Lynchburg, VA 24501 New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Grace Christian School Kings (Mechanicsville, VA), 4-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, New Covenant moves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA) to battle the Tornadoes in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 3. The Tornadoes enter the contest with a record of 3-1. Timberlake Christian lost 4-0 in their recent non-league contest against Southwest Virginia Academy (Roanoke, VA)
The Kings (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against StoneBridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, StoneBridge held off Hampton Christian Academy (Hampton, VA), 4-3, in a league contest.
