Match Summary
Our JV girls teamed up with our only Varsity player available tonight, Kayla Zeiss, to face off against a fresh Lady Rams Varsity team. It was a back and forth battle through the first three sets, with our girls pulling out a razor thin victory in the 2nd set. We had a great serving performance, led by captain Kayla Zeiss, and had a solid attacking game, while struggling to defend against our opponents' best hitters. Unfortunately, by the 4th set our girls were running out of gas and began to succumb to the serves and hitting of the Lady Rams, unable to get any more offensive momentum themselves. It was a fun match, and our girls showed once again that they can play a little volleyball! They far outperformed last Thursday night's match on the other side of Atmore. Bottom line, our other Senior, Nicole McWilson, was sorely missed tonight, after her stellar performance at SBCA on Tuesday night; and our JV players couldn't keep up with the opposing Varsity team through a long match.
