The A Plus Academy Knights were victorious over the visiting Rice Bulldogs football team by a score of 36-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Keene for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 4. A Plus Academy will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 41-6 non-league win over Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Rice drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Mildred (Corsicana, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 1-0. Mildred won 21-20 in their recent non-league outing against Iola (Iola, TX)
