Iowa High School Football - Spirit Lake loses to Algona
August 29, 2025: Spirit Lake, IA 51360 Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Spirit Lake Indians (Spirit Lake, IA), 33-21 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Algona advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Kuemper (Carroll, IA) to confront the Knights in a non-league match on Friday, September 5. The Knights come into the match with a record of 1-0. Kuemper won 44-28 in their recent non-league match against Cherokee Washington (Cherokee, IA)
Coming up next, the Indians confront the Western Christian Wolfpack (Hull, IA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Spirit Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wolfpack come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 41-0 non-league loss to West Lyon (Inwood, IA).
