South Choctaw Academy Rebels (Toxey, AL) followers went home pleased Friday as they witnessed their football squad smash the visiting Banks Academy Jets (Birmingham, AL), 56-24 in a non-league match.

The Rebels (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Sparta Academy (Evergreen, AL). The Warriors enter the AISA AA Region 2 match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Sparta Academy routed Edgewood Academy (Elmore, AL), 28-22, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Jets confront the Bessemer Academy Rebels (Bessemer, AL) in a AISA AAA Region 1 match, on Friday, September 5. Banks Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Rebels enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 42-8 non-league loss to Monroe Academy (Monroeville, AL).
