The Benjamin Franklin Chargers got by the host River Valley Dust Devils football squad by a margin of 24-18 in Friday's non-league test.

The Chargers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Thatcher for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Benjamin Franklin will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 47-0 non-league win over Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, River Valley drops to 0-2 on the year. The Dust devils host Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ) to face the Matadors in a 3A West challenge on Friday, September 5. The Matadors enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Shadow Mountain won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ)
