The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX) and the host Flower Mound Jaguars (Flower Mound, TX), witnessed Bowie's football squad edge Flower Mound by a final score of 28-21.

With the win, Bowie advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Volunteers host Keller (Keller, TX) to encounter the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Keller lost 31-28 in their recent non-league bout against Marcus (Flower Mound, TX)

The Jaguars now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Wylie for a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. Flower Mound will encounter a Pirates team coming off a 24-21 non-league loss to Pearce (Richardson, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 0-1.
