The Boyd County Spartans overwhelmed the visiting North Central Knights football squad by a margin of 68-24 in Friday's non-league test.

The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elkhorn Valley for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Boyd County will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 12-6 non-league win over West Holt (Atkinson, NE). The Falcons record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, North Central drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Chambers/Wheeler Central (Chambers, NE) to meet the Renegades in a non-league test on Friday, September 5.
