Oklahoma High School Football - McAlester can't hold off Broken Bow
August 29, 2025: Broken Bow, OK 74728 Broken Bow Savages (Broken Bow, OK) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting McAlester Buffaloes (McAlester, OK), 23-20 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Broken Bow improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Savages host Durant (Durant, OK) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Durant lost 31-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Ada (Ada, OK)
The Buffaloes (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Poteau (Poteau, OK). The Pirates go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Poteau nipped Booneville (Booneville, AR), 28-0, in a non-league challenge.
