The Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) football knocked off the host Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX), 45-21 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Elks now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cleburne for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 4. Burleson will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 24-3 non-league win over Corsicana (Corsicana, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Centennial drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Sam Houston (Arlington, TX) to battle the Texans in a non-league game on Friday, September 5.
