The Cardinal Newman Crusaders football team (West Palm Beach, FL), dropped 49-35 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting Roman Catholic Cahillite (Philadelphia, PA)

With the win, Roman Catholic advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Cahillite host Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (Philadelphia, PA) to encounter the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Springside Chestnut Hill Academy won 42-0 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Philadelphia, PA)

The Crusaders now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Benjamin for a 1A District 12 bout on Friday, September 5. Cardinal Newman will encounter a Buccaneers team coming off a 37-3 non-league loss to Jesuit (Tampa, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-1.
