Florida High School Football - Central nips The First Academy

August 29, 2025: Orlando, FL 32805

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL) and the host The First Academy Royals (Orlando, FL), saw Central's football team nip The First Academy by a final score of 38-35.

With the win, Central advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Red Devils host Smiths Station (Smiths, AL) to encounter the Panthers in a 7A Region 2 bout on Friday, September 5. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Smiths Station lost 37-21 in their recent non-league bout against Valley (Valley, AL)

The Royals now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Treasure Coast for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 4. The First Academy will encounter a Titans team coming off a 28-0 non-league loss to Jensen Beach (Jensen Beach, FL). The Titans record now stands at 0-2.
