The Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC) football trounced the host Chatham Central Bears (Bear Creek, NC), 48-6 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Jets now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Stokes for a non-league game on Friday, September 5. Jordan-Matthews will battle a Vikings team coming off a 39-12 non-league loss to Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.

The Bears (1-1) will now prepare for their game against East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Gators enter the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, East Columbus was trounced by Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC), 37-0, in a non-league game.
