Fergus Golden Eagles (Lewistown, MT) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Columbia Falls Wildcats (Columbia Falls, MT), 17-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Fergus advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Custer County (Miles City, MT) to play the Cowboys in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Cowboys go into the match with a record of 1-0. Custer County won 50-47 in their recent non-league match against East Helena (East Helena, MT)

Coming up next, the Wildcats meet the Frenchtown Broncs (Frenchtown, MT) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Columbia Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Broncs come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 28-7 non-league win over Bigfork (Bigfork, MT).
