The Dan River Wildcats got by the host Tunstall Trojans football team by a score of 49-42 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats play the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 5. Dan River will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Comets come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 32-22 non-league loss to Person (Roxboro, NC).
