The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (Ramsey, NJ) and the host Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX), witnessed Don Bosco Prep's football squad edge Melissa by a tally of 14-10.

The Ironmen (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Monarch (Coconut Creek, FL). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Monarch nudged Deerfield Beach (Deerfield Beach, FL), 48-10, in a non-league bout.

The Cardinals now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Frisco for a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. Melissa will encounter a Raccoons team coming off a 31-19 non-league win over Little Elm (Little Elm, TX). The Raccoons record now stands at 1-0.
