South Carolina High School Football - Florence Christian tops Thomas Sumter Academy

August 29, 2025: Dalzell, SC 29128

The Florence Christian Eagles football squad scored 46 points and limited the host Thomas Sumter Academy Generals to 32 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders (Columbia, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 5. Florence Christian will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Highlanders go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 14-7 league win over Laurence Manning Academy (Manning, SC).

The Generals (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Calhoun Academy (St. Matthews, SC). The Cavaliers go into the SCISA 2A Region II test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Calhoun Academy topped Greenwood Christian (Greenwood, SC), 41-20, in a league test.
