In Friday's non-league match, the host Florence Eagles football squad scored a good 44-27 victory over the Richland Rangers.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS). The Whippets enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Kosciusko thwarted Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS), 49-7, in a non-league battle.

The Rangers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Vancleave for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Richland will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-21 non-league loss to St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
