August 29, 2025: Jefferson City, MO 65109 The Helias Crusaders edged the visiting Hannibal Pirates football squad by a margin of 23-20 in Friday's non-league test.
The Crusaders now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hickman for a Central Missouri test on Friday, September 5. Helias will clash with a Kewpies squad coming off a 48-14 non-league win over Marquette (Chesterfield, MO). The Kewpies record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Hannibal falls to 0-1 on the year. The Pirates host Lutheran (St. Peters, MO) to face the Cougars in a non-league game on Friday, September 5. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 0-1. Lutheran lost 38-7 in their recent non-league game against Cahokia (Cahokia, IL)
