Minnesota High School Football - Highland Park thwarted by Richfield
August 29, 2025: Richfield, MN 55423 Richfield Spartans (Richfield, MN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Highland Park Scots (St. Paul, MN), 28-20 in a non-league battle.
With the triumph, Richfield upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN) to meet the Packers in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Packers come into the test with a record of 1-0. South St. Paul won 43-0 in their recent non-league test against Camden/FAIR Downtown (Minneapolis, MN)
With the defeat, Highland Park drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Scots travel to Mahtomedi (Mahtomedi, MN) to meet the Zephyrs in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Zephyrs go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Mahtomedi won 21-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Mankato West (Mankato, MN)
