California High School Football - Leigh tops Leland

August 29, 2025: San Jose, CA 95120

The Leigh Longhorns football squad scored 41 points and limited the host Leland Chargers to 15 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Friday.

The Longhorns now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Alisal for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Leigh will face a Trojans team coming off a 34-14 non-league win over Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.

The Chargers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pioneer (San Jose, CA). The Mustangs come into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Pioneer was defeated by Aragon (San Mateo, CA), 26-21, in a non-league test.
