O'Bannon Greenwaves (Greenville, MS) backers left the game thrilled Friday as they observed their football squad run past the host Leland Cubs (Leland, MS), 28-6 in a non-league test.

The Greenwaves now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverside for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. O'Bannon will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 46-0 non-league loss to Yazoo County (Yazoo City, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Leland drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cubs host Shaw (Shaw, MS) to meet the Warriors in a non-league test on Friday, September 5.
