Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Manual Rams (Peoria, IL), 71-22 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Normal University improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pioneers host Bloomington (Bloomington, IL) to play the Purple Raiders in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Purple Raiders go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Bloomington won 21-14 in their recent league test against Danville (Danville, IL)

With the defeat, Manual drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Richwoods (Peoria, IL) to meet the Knights in a Big Twelve test on Friday, September 5.
