The Ray Texans football team (Corpus Christi, TX), was tipped 17-14 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX)

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Laredo LBJ got by Martin (Laredo, TX), 42-19, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Texans confront the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 5. Ray will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors & Cherokees enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 54-23 non-league win over Corpus Christi Moody (Corpus Christi, TX).
