In Friday's non-league game, the Oak Mountain Eagles (Birmingham, AL) football team edged the visiting Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL), by a tally of 30-29.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Prattville Lions (Prattville, AL) in a 7A Region 3 outing, on Friday, September 5. Oak Mountain will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Lions come into the outing with a 1-1 record after their 43-13 non-league win over Stanhope Elmore (Millbrook, AL).
