August 29, 2025: Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack (Wilkes-Barre, PA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Stroudsburg Mountaineers (Stroudsburg, PA), 48-42 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Wilkes-Barre advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Wolfpack travel to Valley View (Archbald, PA) to play the Cougars in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Valley View won 24-13 in their recent non-league battle against Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA)
The Mountaineers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Stroudsburg will play a Hurricanes team coming off a 38-14 non-league win over Allentown Central Catholic (Allentown, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-1.
