The Elko Indians football squad scored 28 points and limited the host Fernley Vaqueros to 0 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lowry for a test on Friday, September 5. Elko will meet a Buckaroos squad coming off a 46-6 league win over Dayton (Dayton, NV). The Buckaroos record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Fernley moves to 0-2 on the season. The Vaqueros host Sparks (Sparks, NV) to face the Railroaders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 6. The Railroaders go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Sparks lost 51-0 in their recent league challenge against Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV)
