Spectators at Friday's non-league bout between the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs (Watsonville, CA) and the visiting Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA), saw Monte Vista Christian's football team prevail over Piedmont Hills by a final score of 31-0.

With the win, Monte Vista Christian advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Carlmont (Belmont, CA) to encounter the Scots in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 13. The Scots go into the bout with a record of 0-1.
