August 29, 2025: North Las Vegas, NV 89032 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Sunrise Mountain Miners (Las Vegas, NV) and the host Cheyenne Desert Shields (North Las Vegas, NV), saw Sunrise Mountain's soccer squad knock off Cheyenne by a count of 3-0.
The Miners (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against Chaparral (Las Vegas, NV). The Cowboys enter the 4A Southern - Lake battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Chaparral tipped Mater Academy East Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV), 2-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Desert Shields confront the Shadow Ridge Mustangs (Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Southern - Sky battle, on Tuesday, September 2. Cheyenne will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Clark (Las Vegas, NV).
