In Friday's non-league test, the Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK) softball squad got by the visiting Guthrie Bluejays (Guthrie, OK), by a tally of 7-6.

Next, the Owls meet the Lawton Wolverines (Lawton, OK) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 2. Elgin will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record.

The Bluejays (1-9) will now prepare for their test against Bridge Creek (Blanchard, OK). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Bridge Creek was nudged by Noble (Noble, OK), 7-3, in a non-league test.
