In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Hastings Tigers softball team scored a tight 11-4 win over the Grand Island Islanders.

The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE). The Rockets enter the non-league game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Lincoln Northeast was routed by Kearney (Kearney, NE), 12-1, in a league game.
