Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) and the visiting Blue Earth Buccaneers (Blue Earth, MN), observed New Ulm's volleyball team hold off Blue Earth by a count of 3-2.

With the win, New Ulm improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Eagles host Worthington (Worthington, MN) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 2. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 1-1. Worthington won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] (Montgomery, MN)

The Buccaneers now sport a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maple River for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Blue Earth will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (Waterville, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
